A quick-start guide to getting hands-on with the platform

At CybSafe, we know what it's like when you get a shiny new tool to use. You just want to start doing the important stuff!

This guide covers the basic set-up requirements ahead of starting to use the CybSafe platform. There are 5 steps:

  • Onboarding your people

  • Setting up groups

  • Allow-listing emails

  • Customising the platform

  • Check organisation details

Step 1: Get your people on-boarded

This means you can assign out phishing and learning campaigns as well as see individual risk scores (once integrations are in place)

Step 2: Set up groups

With groups set up, you can assign out different campaigns and see reports on different groups.

We strongly recommend setting up groups during the on-boarding phase as it is very complicated and to amend afterwards.

Here is the guide you need for creating new groups.


Step 3: Allowlisting

This will mean any emails can be received by your people. Some examples of emails they would need to receive for example:

  • CybSafe platform invite emails

  • Email nudges

  • Phishing simulation emails

Allowlisting is essential if you're running phishing campaigns and learning campaigns.


Step 4: Customise the platform

We know that it matters to have your organisations logos and consistent branding across platforms. You want to make it look nice.

Head to Settings > Platform settings > Branding

Here you can choose your primary colour of the platform (banners, buttons etc.) and add your logo. Adding your logo will mean it appears at the top left of the platform and also on any emails.

Step 5: Check organisation details

Checking your details are up to date is an important last step. Head to Settings > Organisation details.

  • Update organisation details:

    • Name

    • Default language

    • Website link

    • Approximate number of employees

  • Check that the Primary contact details are correct (for the lead platform admin)

    • Name

    • Email address

    • Contact number
