The Advanced settings overview tells you what's on the page. This article walks you through the changes admins most commonly want to make, grouped by what you're trying to achieve.
You'll find Advanced settings under Settings > Advanced settings. Each change saves on its own when you click Save.
Turn AI features on or off
On the AI features tab.
CybSafe Signal is our AI assistant. Once your account has AI enabled, you can:
Turn Signal on or off with Enable CybSafe Signal.
Let Signal use your organisation's data with Enable CybSafe Signal to query organisational data. Turn this off if you'd rather Signal answer from general CybSafe content only, without referencing your data.
You'll also see Enable AI features at the top of the tab. This shows whether AI is available on your account at all. It's read-only. Contact your CSM if you want to change it.
Tune phishing reporting accuracy
On the Phishing tab.
Two common reasons to change these settings: your reports are picking up automated clicks from security tools, or you want to capture real phishing reports alongside simulations.
Filter out automated clicks
Use Phantom click threshold (seconds). Clicks happening within this many seconds of delivery are treated as automated security scans rather than real people. The default is 10 seconds. Increase it if your secure email gateway is still triggering false clicks. Lower it if you think real clicks are being filtered out.
Use a backup landing domain
Turn on Alternate landing page domain if your primary phishing landing domain is being blocked or you'd like a different one for a specific reason.
Record real phishing reports
Turn on Non-simulation phishing (Microsoft 365 / Google) if you've connected M365 or Google and want real phishing reports to show up in CybSafe alongside simulation data. The integration needs to be in place first.
Set how long data is kept
On the Data control tab.
These settings control how long data sticks around after someone leaves your organisation or is archived.
Anonymise expired accounts on a schedule
Use How long past account expiry date user data will be retained (days). The default is 90 days. Shorter windows tighten your data position. Longer ones give you a wider audit trail.
Auto-delete archived users
Use How long until archived users are automatically deleted (days). Leave it blank to keep archived users indefinitely.
Let people return after being archived
Turn on Allow duplicate archived accounts if someone might rejoin after being archived (a returning employee, for example) and you want to re-add them without conflict.
Match your department structure
Department separator is the character CybSafe uses to split department hierarchies. The default is /. Change it only if your existing department data uses a different character.
Choose what features people see
On the User interface tab.
Every toggle here changes what people see when they sign in. Turn them off if a feature doesn't fit how your organisation runs CybSafe, or if you'd rather not surface it.
Dashboard
Enable dashboard todo list. The personal to-do list on the dashboard.
Security heroes leaderboard. Gamified rankings. Some organisations prefer to turn this off in higher-stakes settings.
Content and engagement
Enable Advice. The Advice section with just-in-time guidance.
Enable newsfeed. The newsfeed of recent CybSafe activity.
Enable Notifications. Push notifications for nudges, messages, and announcements.
Enable goals. Personal security goals.
Enable user progress. The view where people see their own learning history.
Admin and reporting
Enable weekly digest email of user messages waiting response. Sends admins a weekly email if there are user messages waiting for a reply.
Additional user information. Shows extra fields about each person where supported.
Changes take effect immediately. Anyone signed in at the time will see the change on their next page load.
Saving your changes
Each setting saves on its own. After you change a setting and click Save, you'll see a notification for what saved and what didn't. If one change fails, the others still go through.
This feature is in beta. If something doesn't look right, or you'd expect to see a setting that isn't yet on the page, let your CSM know.
